Great fish restaurant right opposite the Stave fishing beach in Hastings The Dover sole was the best we've ever eaten and the maitre was excellent. Service was just right. Relation price to quality was very good. Two bottles of decent red were drunk and the price per couple , with tip , was 100 GBP

This was our first visit to Webbe's. What an absolute delight. We started off with Oysters, followed by prawns and a fish board which consisted of: Pickled Herring, Potted Shrimp, Prawns and Smoked Mackerel Pate, Squid Fritters, what a feast! For our main course we both had Roast Loin of Monkfish wrapped in Prosciutto with Tagliatelle, Pak Choi, Courgettes, Basil Sauce. Absolutely divine. Then of course we had to have dessert . This was all washed down with a thoroughly good bottle of wine. The staff were amazing, a special mention to Alastair who completely entertained us and to Lorraine. An incredible experience and one we look forward to repeating.

Another fantastic lunch. Beautifully prepared stunning fish dishes. Can’t fault the service or value for money either. Nice and relaxed a great afternoon.

Fabulous, unique fish and seafood dishes in a smart ambience. Service was very attentive and we appreciated the variety of wines and Gins available, too. The monkfish loin main was a personal favourite!

I’m no lover of seafood (I blame those dying mussel beds back in the town where I grew up), but I have to say that Webbe’s did a mighty fine job of converting me to the joys of the surf over the turf. Even an unreconstructed carnivore like me could appreciate this refined, sophisticated, but avowedly (reassuringly) unpretentious restaurant. The service was top-notch and the food a pure delight. Somebody in that kitchen knows how to source good, fresh local ingredients and treat them with respect. I’ll certainly be back (might even try the turf AND the surf next time)

This place looks great but The starter chosen, appears to be prepared and whisked from the cold store to your table. Our starters were so chilled that our forks tasted icy cold. Of course there was no flavour from the food. The fish was ok .loved the drinks

First time visiting and was knocked back by the taste and flavours across the dishes we tried. The menu was enticing and we could have chosen almost any dishes. Service was A1 and very reasonably priced. It felt very special. Thank you.

Oysters were delicious. Ordered fish and chips which was good. Lobster was small and average - a bit dry. Was child friendly restaurant and attentive staff.

We have just had such a lovely lunch. The fish stew and oysters were delicious and well presented. At last a restaurant that offers a good variety of healthy and thought out kids options - salmon, steak, lovely fish, and a delicious pudding option. Kids were really happy and satisfied and so were we.The parfait went down a storm and didn’t last long. Thank you. Great value, delicious food with a lovely atmosphere.

This restaurant is one of the jewels in Rye's crown. The menu has an excellent range of dishes; everything we had was superbly cooked and presented, and the service by the charming and highly professional staff is first class. We tried a good range of their champagnes and picked up some interesting local information. Their Fish and Chips is excellent, light crisp batter on the gorgeous cod and proper hand-cut chips, the Steak was tender and delicious, the Mussells plentiful and gorgeous, the ham hock presse, tumbler of prawns, cayenne sprats and the taromasalata everything you wanted to be. Ansolutely worth a visit. I think advance booking is probably essential.

We celebrated our daughters 50th birthday here yesterday. I had the Rye Fish Stew. Quite simply the best meal I've had ever. Enough said!

First time visiting this restaurant. In our 1 week stay, 10th to 17th September 2023 we ate here 4 times which should say everything. Excellent food, very friendly service and great staff. Highly recommended. ?Written on behalf of Julie and Steven Maskell.

During our short stay in Rye we eat breakfast, lunch and dinner out and this was by far the best meal we had. friendly staff, nice atmosphere, great menu and excellent fish. Lots of fish restaurants locally but not at this level.

Whilst I had checked out most restaurants in and around Rye with Webbes well up the running order, it far exceeded our expectations in every respect. The dining room itself lovely, clean and calm. The staff excellent. The food delicious and brilliantly presented. We would have returned but they were closed the following evening and we had other reservations for the rest of the week. Shame!
