I have been to the Rayleigh brand lots of times and the food there is fabulous, but I was in the Brentwood area and I thought I would stop by. The chips were nice by normal standards, but weren't as good as the brilliant standards of the Rayleigh shop. In my opinion Rayleigh offers the best in the country, alongside another favourite of mine in Hoddesdon, and I was hoping that Brentwood would be another great alternative. The fish and chips are always excellent when I've had a takeaway from here. Fish cooked usually to order and portion is generous. Chips I will usually end up sharing on a large, as again, it's usually generous. Currently only taking cash at the counter.

I am 41 so have had a lot of fish& chips- I also never leave reviews - but this is the best fish & chips I have ever had in my 41 years - can't believe I haven't heard about this place
