We’ve been here regularly over the last few years but haven’t been for a few months as it’s often fully booked online. We came for Sunday lunch. Service was as good as normal. I had the roast chicken which was huge. My only complaint was the roast potatoes, still in their skins, still quite tasty but not as good as a roast IMO and more so when you avoid carbs for most of the week! Great dog friendly place with fantastic outside space. Food is lovely too. Staff are a bit hit and miss since previous manager moved on but hospitality is hard at the moment for recruitment. The best ice cream I’ve had!

Always a lovely welcome by the lady seating you. Another lovely roast had by 3 of us. We just thought it was a little skimpy on the veg for 2 (my no.meat veg comes already on my plate). Service was a little slower than on previous visits , and there was alot of uncleared tables which was very unusual. One odd fact, no mints left for us at the end but 4 coffee biscuits? Will always return as for me it's the best roast I ever get to eat.
