The Bell Inn
Dunmow Rd, Great Bardfield, BraintreeCiaren and Sharon etc. give you a warm and friendly welcome to this quaint and beautiful friendly village pub. A tavern for hundreds of years. The Bell really does the job. Their forays into live music are really enjoyable too. Keep on keeping on!! If your not familiar with Great Bardfield, make this your number 1 visit here for a drink and a chat with locals, artists, and randoms! The only local " proper pub".... fantastic!

They also have an amazing play area for kids out back and some little jeep rides; which are at an extra cost.
Amazing spot to stop with the kids for a couple of hours.

Fusion Grill
University of Essex Wivenhoe Park Square Four (next to Top BarReally good food and service, especially for the price. You'll get enough to fill you up and still have some to take out! It's also not too loud most of the time, so you can probably stick around and get some work done if you want. Ordering is really straightforward and discreet too. I personally really like the squid side they have.
