Sarah and Carmen are fantastic hosts who make everyone feel welcome, and they also keep a very fine pint of Guinness! A proper community pub that’s well worth a visit.

Mill Rd, Ridgewell, HalsteadFantastic meal for Valentines. Food was lovely, very attentive service. Cannot rate it highly enough. Well done Robin for another superb meal. A hidden gem and happy to support a local business.

Tarka's Café
Baythorne End, Hall, HalsteadOne of the BEST cafés in suffolk!!!! Incredibly good food, great value for money, the paninis are absolutely delightful, lovely chips and salad and coleslaw. Highly recommend coming here for lunch any day of the week. The staff are really friendly and polite. We turned up late lunch on a weekday, the place was ram packed, we were given a buzzer when a table would come free which was great rather than being turned away. They apparently also do breakfast on weekends inc Sundays from approx 9-9.30am , will have to try that for sure! Theres loads of easy accessible parking even if you're a disabled user. Highly highly recommend. Wish I lived closer. 6 stars!!!!
