Me and my better half often find ourselves searching for a good roast on a Sunday. She is vegetarian and I’m not. I have to say this is the first place we have ever both cleaned our plates. Amazing staff, amazing service and the food was to die for probably one of the best local pubs I’ve ever eaten at in the UK.
Went there for a drink and found it charming and welcoming. So we booked Sunday lunch for the next day. The food was exceptional and the most friendliest staff we have encountered in a long time.

We visited the stag on a rainy Sunday afternoon seeking warmth, comfort food, peace, and a full tummy!!! We got ALL. Thoroughly enjoyed this gem of a pub, nestled in the countryside. The friendliest of landlords was so welcoming, the Sunday Roast was DELICIOUS and piping hot. The homemade rhubarb crumble was to die for . Service excellent.
