A tucked away gem of a place. The food was piping hot, and plenty of it.The chowder as a starter is one of the best for flavour I have had.Staff were really nice and friendly, and there is a lovely olde worlde ambience. Lovely old school country pub. Fresh, hot, good portions. The best Sunday roast ( beef ) I’ve had for a long time, and great cheesecake. Gets very busy so book ahead or be prepared to wait. Very very good, will definitely return soon.

Have been several times and been blown away by the food! Sometimes a good wait but well worth the wait! Took friend tonight who couldn't decide what to have so ended up eating all out left overs as wanted to sample as much as possible! Hats off to Nettie and Gary! Great atmosphere lovely pub!
