Visited The Maypole today for the first time in many years. The place has completely changed since our last visit. We had a wonderful lunch, chose our meals from a wide menu. Excellent friendly staff, brilliant… well presented interior, decorated for Christmas…. we will return.
I had my 50th birthday at the Maypole! DJ and food laid on by the staff… it was amazing… I got there early to set up with my friends and the staff there helped out and I even had my hair straightened as I was getting ready by Michelle behind the bar which was super helpful!!! Once again, top food with attentive and interested staff, including new bar-maid Ginny Tonic. And as an image is better than a thousand words, I include a photo of my Sunday Roast with freshly cooked seasonal vegetables, and meat that hasn't been frozen for the last three months. A true British pub that hasn't forgotten quality never goes out of fashion. Always good value and highly recommended.
