This place is a hidden gem. I had the grilled seabass with chorizo fricassee. My hubby had the t-bone steak. The chef is worthy of a Michelin star my fish and fricassee was perfect. Thank you. If you can go you won't be disappointed. Parking outside. Lovely little village. Hubby said steak was good. For £15 for my fish that's fab value. Lovely pub in the village of Tillingham Essex, friendly staff ,but sadly, on day of visit no food was being served , was looking forward to lunch here as the pub has a good reputation for quality food.I will be back.

Very welcoming, staff and customers said hello when we walked in and as strangers to the village this was a good feeling. However we were slightly disappointed by the Thai food ordered, it was flavoursome but the portions were very small for the price charged, restaurant price for a take away. Would definitely visit the pub for a drink in the future though.
