12 The Square, Tillingham, SouthminsterWe visited on a Wednesday lunchtime which obviously is not a busy time and didn't require lunch as that had already been sorted so I cannot apply a rating. The atmosphere again was difficult to gauge with so few people but service was friendly and courteous.

The Green Man
Waterside Rd, Bradwell-on-Sea, Bradwell Waterside, SouthminsterA proper old-school Essex pub that feels like a step back in time, The Green Man is a hidden gem sitting right by the Blackwater estuary. Set in a historic building with exposed beams and a big open fireplace, it has that cosy, traditional charm that’s getting harder to find these days.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, whether you’re popping in after a coastal walk or making a trip специально for lunch. Staff are friendly and down-to-earth, creating a relaxed, local feel that makes you want to stay for “just one more pint.”

The Kings Head, Bradwell-on-Sea
High St, Bradwell-on-Sea, SouthminsterAfter a bank holiday walk we popped in for some lunch. The staff were friendly and the burger was one of the best I’ve had.
If I’m out walking this way again I will definitely make it my lunchtime stop.
