The Hill, Old Sodbury, Avon, BristolThis review is only for drinks and dinner in the pub. As a vegetarian, I can’t say enough good things about The Dog Inn. They had more than a few vegetarian options and some that could be made vegan. I had the vegetarian Wellington with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, carrots and fresh steamed cauliflower and broccoli. My partner had the vegetarian cheese and red onion flan with chips and salad. The portions were ENORMOUS and everything was fresh, hot and delicious. The prices are reasonable and it’s just so nice to support an independent local pub over the ones that are quickly being made into chains with premade food that’s just warmed up.

Slim Chickens
The Mall, Bristol, Cribbs Causeway, AvonMy first thought was how expensive it seemed! But when I was eating it I felt it was worth it. Delicious fries (salty and herby), brilliant sauces (mango habanero was my favourite) and tender tenders. Plus an excellent vanilla milkshake which appeared almost instantly, this gave me something to enjoy while I waited for the rest. Definitely would eat there again
