The food was good at Vernes. For a little restaurant in Bourton-on-the-Water, it was reasonably priced. The fish and chips were fresh and the peas were locally grown. The potato and leak soup with bread was very tasty and filling. It would have been perfect on a cold day. The service was nice and pleasant. Just a heads up if you are American and using an American Express, they only take Visa or MasterCard.
