It is obvious why Malt and Anchor have won national awards, the quality of the ingredients and the cooking skill make this a cut above the rest. Crispy, light batter, perfect chips, technical perfection in a friendly laid back setting. Excellent all round. Worth making a diversion to experience.
Great restaurant with a nice decor, I like the rope chains on the ceiling.Very tasty fish and chips not greasy or soaked in oil the batter was crispy loved it. Would definitely recommend their more affordable takeaway option.

We arrived at the end of a very busy service. We were warned that there would be a half hour wait and that estimate was about right. The restaurant was very clean despite being so busy. The food was exceptional, it's not cheap, but it was worth it. There are quite a lot of "upsell" items on the menu, so you need to be a bit careful if the bill isn't going to get inflated. Our server Dan was exceptional.
