Oriental Garden Chinese Takeaway
5-6, St. Johns Court, Bank St, ColefordFirst visit so didn't know what to expect, turns out food was the best I've had for a long time. The service excellent. Docked a star for atmosphere as the waiting area had no heating on this occasion and it was one of the coldest nights of the year, having said that there was evidence of what looked like fresh building work going on. Will be a regular visitor in the future. Ps price was also good.

Beechenhurst Cafe
Speech House Road, Broadwell, ColefordVisited on a very busy bank holiday Monday, so there were a lot of people ordering food and drink. Despite this, the service was great and food came out quickly. Had run out of plant based sausage rolls unfortunately. Cakes were lovely. Nice large cups for the tea. Loved that it was super dog friendly, with frozen yoghurt available to cool our pup down after the sculpture trail walk.
Howie was very welcoming and friendly. Only recommendation would be to have umbrellas available for all tables, for a space to cool down on a warmer day.

Hong Kong House
Unicorn House, 32 Market Pl, ColefordFood was good quality and tasty. Placed large order over the phone for collection and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes and it was. The front of house could do with a renovation as a bit baron with lots of hand written signs. I collected order and left but had to go back as they rung me to say an item was still in kitchen. Apart from that the food was hot and tasty and value for the money I spent.

The Lamb Inn
The Cross, Church Rd, Clearwell, ColefordThis is akin to the first pub I was taken to, in 1953 in Hertfordshire. No bright lights just warm and welcoming. If you want to sit and think, you can. If you want a natter over your pint, then your hosts will provide good conversation and a huge knowledge of beer and the brewing industry. A constantly changing beer selection and no musak. This pub is spot on perfect.

Bells Hotel, Lord's Hill, ColefordAll of the staff are so nice and polite, from the receptionist on arrival, the bar staff and restaurant staff. I stayed in a newly refirbished room which had a king sized bed and a desk. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with large windows overlooking the golf course. The food was excellent at a reasonable price. The hotel is within easy access to Bath, Bristol & Cardiff if like me you're not a golfer.
