Haven't been back since Kath passed in 2022, but not much has changed. The Butty Bach is very good and the boss's Rioaja was excellent. Oh yes, the loos have been brought up to 21st Century standard.We had sandwiches for lunch, sausage por moi and goats cheese for her. Chips and a side of soup were quite enough for lunchtime. The granary bread was thick, soft and chewy, excellent.It was busy, but not horribly so for a Good Friday and the staff and chef were pleasant.Will be back...read full review

Prebooked table for Boxing Day lunch.We arrived after a muddy walk together with muddy dog.The owner was so accomodating and found us an excellent table.The pub was very busy but the service was excellent. It is a real "country pub" with everything you expect. Open fire, very good range of real ales and first class service. Our lunch, particularly the specials , was first class.We will return.

My partner and I had a lovely meal here last night. Service was great, the roaring fire was welcomed on a winters evening. Extensive Gluten Free options available. Dog friendly too. Hghly recommended. Booking recommended.Dietary restrictions: GF friendly!
