Came here on the off chance as we were local and we fancied a cosy meal by a real fire. I’ve seen a lot of hit and miss with this place however our visit was a hit! We enjoyed all of it from the service we had and our food was piping hot and tasty, we will definitely return and will recommend to friends and family regardless of negative reviews.
Had a meal on NYE, I looked at the menu online before arriving but was disappointed to see that some of the meals had a supplement added on when we arrived. This was fine but when the meals came out, I really don’t think the inflated price for NYE reflected the quality of the food. My roast had so many potatoes under the 2 slices of meat, the carrots were mushy and the gravy had separated- it wasn’t freshly cooked at all, it seemed like it was microwaved. Popped in today after a stressful day at work. The staff were friendly and very patient with me as I took a while to decide what I actually wanted. The food was quick to come out and tasted amazing, especially the dirty fries (I highly recommend) Overall I was extremely satisfied with the service and would definitely be going back for more of that amazing food!
