97 Nightingale Ln, LondonThe Nightingale pub is exactly that, an English pub! It's a welcoming place with friendly staff and patrons. The variety of food is also lovely, good-sized portions at reasonable prices. If you are after a nice Ale, join the locals at the Nightingale :)

39 Balham High Rd, LondonI came here last Saturday and was greeted by an outstanding young lady called Joey, she was so contentive and recommended some great food, the chicken strips and blue cheese was amazing. All night she didn’t fail to accommodate us and give us high quality service. This will now be my regular pub, Hatts off for your magnificent staff.

21 Chestnut Grove, LondonWe went for the 6N finale, the atmosphere was good, great setup for sport, the staff were really helpful and managed to get an extra couple of chairs for our table as we were a bigger group than originally booked. Massive thanks to the team for a great day, the regent is fast becoming our fav S London pub.

Unit 1, 16 Balham Hill, LondonBest Costa customer service I’ve ever experienced! I ordered an oat flat white (typically 8oz) in a 12oz cup, and the barista filled the entire cup so it was essentially a latte. I drank it but was initially not super happy with it, and when Zoey saw, she offered to make a new cup for me with less milk. She was all smiles and super friendly throughout!

67, 73 Balham Hill, LondonNice stop for petrol after picking up the kids from school. The place Is not very big but you can have a tranquil time to eat, also has a drive through so if you are on the rush this help. Nice menu with plenty of choices also for the vegetarian there is a good selection. Small parking space so about 7/8 cars no more.

Clean and a pleasant atmosphere.The coffee ☕ is good.The only thing is, they serve you in disposable cutlery because the dishwasher doesn't work.You can enjoy the coffee indoors or outdoors. They have a few tables in front of the cafe, but they are practically on the street (as usual in London).On Saturday, around 3 pm, it was not crowded.

Accompanied by my nephew and niece, the experience was memorable from start to finish.Upon arrival, the unique ordering system caught our attention - a simple scan of the QR code. Your order is placed, leaving you to eagerly anticipate the arrival of your meal. It's worth noting that you'll need to collect utensils and napkins from the central area, adding a touch of interactive charm to the dining experience.Once our food arrived, we were all thoroughly impressed. Opting for a meal for two, the portions were generous and the flavors were exquisite. However, the true highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the dessert. A decadent chocolate soft cake, served warm and accompanied by velvety ice cream, left us all craving for more.The service was exemplary - swift, efficient, and delivered with genuine warmth. Each staff member wore a smile, enhancing the overall atmosphere of hospitality.In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Nando's for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience with family and friends. 159 Balham High Rd, LondonPerhaps I was lucky that it was extremely busy with a very high turnover of food, but I actually lightly burnt the roof of my mouth with the fries. Don't get me wrong I write this as a positive, it is so rare to get hot fries to get piping hot fries was a real treat.I know many people will have mixed opinions on this regarding whether they should be that hot for H&S, and perhaps it is also a reminder to test the temperature of food before you give it to a young child. But the fries were delicious because they were piping hot.On the flip side despite being busy, choosing table service and getting my food in 10 minutes they produced the best Steakhouse Stack of the three I've had. The first restaurant omitted the peppercorn sauce, the second the patties were a touch dry. However Balham produced a burger with hot succulent patties, plenty of peppercorn sauce and one that looked like the burger that is advertised.I did drop a star on the service as there was no Ketchup, etc on my tray, I think it's available on self service, but because I was laden with shopping bags I could not leave my seat. It's a shame the burger will be gone in couple of weeks.One final thing I also ordered a salad and I know you don't really go to a McDonald's for their salad but this was particularly miserable looking. I was just trying to bump up the total so I could use their 15% off voucher and the McFlurry machine was not working, all I can say is thank goodness the salad was effectively free.
