Always a great evening drinking in the garden at The Dig & Bull. We’ve been using since before covid and it’s always a pleasure to sit in the lovely garden. Always a good post work crowd in there and a good atmosphere.
Heart of Croydon market, discover the garden at the back. Oasis in the middle of the metropolis. Relive the area's history with the photographs on the walls while supping a fine pint.As Thomas Wolfe (not Tom) has it 'You can't go home again'. Sadly this is no longer a Young's establishment so goodbye to Ram and Spec. Goodbye to this Croydon institution.Update; Anniversary trip and surprise Spec and unfortunately no Ram. Wonderful old pub in downtown Croydon. The staff were lovely and very helpful. A smallish bar with a setting area off to the side and another small room behind the bar. Out the back is a sizeable well furnished beer garden with booths around two sides and a bbq place that I'm told provides great food Wednesday to Sunday. The Guinness was excellent as was the Young's Original.
