Delightful. I found this jewel using Google maps after leaving the Victoria and Albert Museum. It was a little confusing at first, as it was inside the Rembrandt Hotel. To add to the confusion, the actual restaurant was closed but the bar was open. I took my chances, and ordered fish and chips from the bar. Came here for dinner after visiting the museum. When we walked in, we were a bit confused. The restaurant section was closed, but the waiter said they were open for dinner and he sat us in the lounge area with small table with lounge-type chairs which were hard to maneuver, but it’s fine, it worked and we were hungry. We actually had dinner in the 1606 Lounge Bar near the entrance to the Palette Restaurant. The setting is excellent and has a calm and warm atmosphere. The staff are very professional and attentive. The menu, while not extensive, has a good range of choices. The wine list is the same. The. Food was very good. We particularly enjoyed the Sea Bass and the Eton mess. The four stars is because we were unable to dine in the restaurant itself.
