Reviews for The V&A Cafe
Was here yesterday with a friend. The atmosphere was great and so is the setting with the tiles and high ceilings. But, oh my goodness the staff were so rushed and service was dreadfully slow. You have to queue for the food. Then queue again in a different place for tea then queue again to pay and get a knife and fork which was handed over like you had asked for World peace. It spoiled the occasion. Next time we shall go somewhere else first to eat
LOVED the cafe- it is stunning with the lights and high ceilings. We stopped for an afternoon tea because when in England have to do it??. For our drink, we got tea. With the tea, unlike the US obviously with the tea culture, keep in mind they give you a whole pot per tea order which we drank the whole thing each and it tasted great. We also got the scone with clotted cream and jam, walnut/pistachio carrot cake, and cherry almond cake.

The cafe spread across 3 stunning rooms and the gallery by the courtyard. It’s the most beautiful place to sit for afternoon tea even it’s all self- service. I have been here many times and a member for 14 years. My favourite is the William Morris room. Food is good too with a good choice of salads and hot food.
