Superb vegetarian roast dinner - in fact, I'd go so far as to say that it was among the best I've ever had, and I'm incredibly picky. The Yorkshire puddings are amazing. This pub is part of my family history as it was my dad's local 60 years ago when I was just a kid. Dad would go here for a couple of hours after church on a Sunday whilst we got some sweets from the shop across the road then went home. The sweet shop has gone but the pub remains now run by a lovely young woman from Melbourne Australia which is cool. Amazing staff and atmosphere!Popped in here on a whim after getting diverted through Streatham and needed to kill some time - they serve a great pint of Guinness and George at the bar told me all about the pub and the surrounding area which was a really nice surprise for a Youngs pub!I won't be waiting for another travel nightmare to come back - highly recommend!
