Visiting the UK and we came across this pub one cold and blowy evening. What a find. We happened to attend on a Sunday which was roast night and wow we were not disappointed. Huge servings of true style roasts and the bonus of the most enormous Yorkshire puddings. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door and given a prime table by the fire, which was lovely as we didn’t have a booking. We popped down for Friday night dinner. The food was really excellent. It’s always good but really loved the chicken schnitzel and steak that we chose. Well done the chef ?‍?. Great service and a lovely roaring fire. The beer Hophead Darkstar was excellent and the Cote du Rhone likewise. The Wych Elm is a fabulous friendly local pub. Thanks !!

A large group of us ate here for Sunday lunch. The food was lovely, one of the best Sunday roasts I've eaten in ages. You can also choose from the standard menu and there are plenty of vegetarian options available including a vegetarian roast. The service was excellent. It also appears to be dog friendly. We will be back.
