What a hidden Gem. I didn't know it was there and had gone to look around the Photgraphic exhibition. It would have been rude not to stop for a pot of tea (with another pot of hot water) and a slice of chocolate fudge. Compleet surprise for me since I'd not been in the Museum for a decade or more. It's now clean, brightly lit and you can see the art deco windows and the gold on the Columns. But the real treat was the Tea, served on Royal Daulton China. Booked a table for afternoon tea for 6 adults and a child in a high chair. The table was set out lovely. 2 huge teapots, porcelain tea cups & saucers for the adults and activities set out Infront of the child seat. Little cups of treats and sweets set out for my daughter. Cloth napkins and a lovely, thick cotton table cloth. Both teapots were filled with tea & hot water and refilled when we asked at no extra charge. The sandwiches were lovely. Tina's Tea Room was wonderful from start to finish. The service was excellent and we were very impressed with the amount of food we had on our afternoon tea and the quality. A beautiful cafe with amazing food! Thanks Tina ?
