Known for the wonderful beer selection of course and the "on the platform " vibe, very "Brief Encounter " but who knew the food would be a) served quickly, b) immaculate presentation, c) absolutely delicious. All the staff are also very polite and friendly. 10/10
Great atmosphere, lovely place to have a drink. We’ve been a few times sitting inside and outside, there’s a heater if you choose the outside seating. Either way you can watch the trains come and go which is nice. There’s a choice of ales/largers which my husband enjoyed. I fancied a gin unfortunately only lemon on offer, it does say they normally have a variety of craft gins but wondered if these had run down over Christmas and new year. You can’t beat the combo of real ale and ? even though there is not much action on the East Lancashire Railway today. A fantastic selection of Cask Ales with the added bonus of CAMRA discount. Toilets are on the platform - all under cover. A great place to view the heritage railway.
