“My wife and I dropped in for lunch, having visited the nearby National Trust gardens. We received a warm, friendly welcome from the staff. A lovely menu, of which we were both tempted by several dishes. My wife had the vegetable burger and I the steak and ale pie. Great portions and beautifully cooked. Was nearly seduced by the dessert menu but was just too full! Will have to return to try it out!”

“Went here a couple of weeks ago after The Great South Run ...the food was delicious , I had the lamb roast it was bang on. Everyone else had a mixture of things , Fish cakes , Sausage and mash , Carbonarra , Beef roast ? all agreed it was lovely. The staff were very good .Thanks ??”

“Came here for a Sunday lunch. Really, very good food and service. The portions were large, well presented, and good quality. Atmosphere was let down a bit by a booking of 30 who were in at the same time. Made it feel more like a canteen. However, I imagine this won't be the case every Sunday. Will definitely be returning. The only issue is if you have mobility problems as I have, you will find access difficult. The car park is gravel that a manual chair won't deal with, and there are a number of steps to the dining area. I noticed that there may be level access from the front of the building. It would be worth a call ahead as it may be possible to enter the building here.”
