Just got home from a really fabulous roast. Was absolutely delicious. Two of us had the pork, two had the lamb. Everything was cooked like you’d have at home. Crispy roasts, lovely yorkshires, stuffing, pigs in blankets just lovely. Compliments to the chef, kitchen guys, waitresses. Nothing was too much. Highly recommend as the best pub all round in the village.
Have just eaten here as me and the wife are on a breakaway to the New Forest and were looking for some traditional pub grub.This rating is based on the food, I had a chicken bacon and leek pie, which came potatoes and a bowl of vegetables, and my wife had the burger and chips.We were greeted warmly, the food came out in a very reasonable time frame and the food was extremely good as quite often it can be hit and miss with pub food. We went here on Thursday 28th December. We found the staff very friendly and welcoming. Drinks were good and average price. The food was lovely, plenty of it, and reasonably priced. Would l recommend this pub, yes
