Awesome food, traditional pub grub served piping hot and tasting delicious. The lamb shanks with mash and fresh vegetables were outstanding. Amazed how quick we were served and top treatment from the staff. Spot on guys, well done.
This pub may not be as glamorous as some nearby, but inside there was a warm welcome. We were a large group, our only difficulty was deciding on what we fancied as there was a good choice for lunchtime. The service was friendly, speedy and organised. We often travel in a large family party and we find one of us doesn’t get our meal at the same time, or personal choices are forgotten. But the Coal Exchange managed it all exceptionally well and we all really enjoyed our food....read full review

A friendly and warm pub. Completely fog friendly too.We had the suet pies, both of which were delicious with six different veg and enough potatoes to feed an army. Our mil had the sxampi, also really nice.The pudding of syrup sponge is also highly recommended.Parking: There is a pay and display car park next to the pub.
