A very inconspicuous little gem ?Indeed it's a small place, you'll be lucky to find a table inside but we were fortunately, and enjoyed a lovely family lunch.Great food, arrived quickly, easy to order, and good cake. What more do you want from lunch?!

A friendly and warm pub. Completely fog friendly too.We had the suet pies, both of which were delicious with six different veg and enough potatoes to feed an army. Our mil had the sxampi, also really nice. The pudding of syrup sponge is also highly recommended.Parking: There is a pay and display car park next to the pub.

The really friendly and welcoming greeting from the staff just makes you know that this will be a lovely place. Although there are a few tables outside, they were not for a chilly January day, but there are about 10 tables inside. We had a great all day breakfast and a bap stuffed with sausage, bacon, egg and cheese, washed down with a good size mug of hot tea. Dogs are welcomed and made a fuss of! One to visit again.

Have just had the most amazing meal for hubby's birthday at 39 On the Quay. We chose the set menu, and the carrot soup starter was out of this world, certainly not your normal soup - the texture and taste were nothing short of sublime. The rest of the meal didn't disappoint, everything about the meal was exceptional - we just loved it.A truly high-class restaurant with very reasonable pricing. We shall be back.Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.

We were recommended to eat here by friends who spoke very highly of the food and we were not disappointed. We arrived half an hour early but were attended to straight away by very friendly and attentive staff. I was very impressed that we were able to order the small Sunday roast lunch, I had lamb and my husband had turkey. All aspects were very well cooked, the potatoes were crispy, the vegetables done to perfection including the cauliflower cheese. We shared dessert of pineapple rum cake with mango sorbet and orange set cream. It was all delicious and our experience was enhanced by Molly our server who took the trouble to ask our names as we chatted to her and remembered them when we left. All in all a perfect lunch on Easter Sunday.

Best pub I've visited in ages! Food was excellent, wine was delicious and the way they welcomed my Pup was above and beyond! Dog bowls and treats were readily available, my boy looked very regal on the dog throne and the best was when they bought him over a dog bed and he snuggled in down. Thanks so much!

I'm not a big drinker and don't go to a pub very often,so before today I'd never been in The Lord Raglan in Emsworth before. My daughter and s-I-l booked it for my Mother's Day lunch and we duly turned up.We liked the lively atmosphere when we walked in, and we had our name on a chalkboard on the table. Warm greetings from the staff then drinks came fast after ordering. Dinner was simply a choice of 3 roasts and a vegetarian option, complete with steamed vegetables and loads of trimmings included.I was staggered to be told I could have the beef 3 ways - rare medium or well done. Chicken would be boneless breast meat, and the gammon would be thick sliced and succulent. Between the five of us we had all of them. For those who can't make their minds up, there is even a choice of all three on the one plate! Our meals came quickly, plates laden with lots of well cooked roast potatoes and parsnip, a huge chunk of stuffing, an enormous Yorkshire, carrots, and a swede mash. As if that wasn't enough, 2 large side dishes of broccoli, cauliflower and French beans between 5 of us were brought out as well! We had ordered a portion of extra roast potatoes, not knowing how large the portions would be, which we struggled gallantly with but it beat us.The staff checked on us for drinks a couple of times and were bright and chatty.I can honestly say I was more than pleasantly surprised and very impressed with the food and service. Hand on heart we will be back!
