48 Sea Front, Hayling IslandWe had already visited for a drink during a walk along Hayling seafront and whilst there we looked at GF offerings. On the basis of those we returned for an evening meal to belatedly celebrate my wife’s birthday. We were not disappointed. Excellent food, exceptional service and although in the upper price bracket, well worth it. Staff were amazing, the locals were just lovely, which as visitors, means so much. If you are down on Hayling, make sure you pop in here, you won’t be disappointed. Cannot recommend enough.

West Town Inn
52 Station Rd, Hayling IslandGreat pub in West Town Hayling. Popped in for a lunchtime drink . Great service and very Dog friendly. Very nice pub garden. Didn't have food but it looked good. A good choice to visit after the beach. Recommended

Three beans & a tea leaf
33 Station Rd, Hayling IslandThis place came highly recommended and didn't disappoint. Lovely fresh food the sausages very tasty, a perfect hard egg, and really fresh bread. My wife's tea was perfect, and the cappuccino cake was equally delicious. Prices very reasonable for the food you get. A great place for tea, coffee and more. Go on, you need to try it!

Welcoming staff , proper pub grub menu with a few posher bits and very resonable prices We lived the character with all sorts of country stuff all over the place and a few collections of bits and bobs . Would have lived to have stayed for a few more but driving so just the one Well worth a visit

Bay of Bengal
94 Elm Grove, Hayling IslandAs a local resident who has visited India several times I am well aware that many dishes in Indian restaurants and take aways are totally westernised no one in Kerala or Amritsar or Mumbai has probably ever heard of chicken tikka masala !! But as local Indian restaurants go the Bay of Bengal is certainly one of the best. The vegetable curries and dishes are exquisite, some of the best curry's I have ever had the pleasure of consuming. The dishes have incredible flavours and are visually stunning too The flavours are perfect, the heat is exactly as it's should be, not dripping with oil one bit and the meats in dishes are always cooked perfect, moist and not tough. They have a great menu with so many options that are different to your typical Indian cuisine and are happy to adapt dishes to personal tastes and requirements. The restaurant itself is lovely and clean can often be very busy so well worth booking. Not to mention the very friendly staff who are attentive even remembering your name and drinks preferences even if its some weeks since you been in. 10/10 would definitely recommend

Gandhi Tandoori hayling island
Ghandhi Tandoori, 58 Hollow Ln, Hayling IslandA great find. Very warm and friendly welcome and seated on a round table, lovely for chatting with family.
Lovely feel and atmosphere inside restaurant.
Poppadoms and mains, all delicious and cldnt fault..... naan was superb...our waiter so friendly efficient and attentive..
Would definitely recommend and return next time we in Hayling Island.

22 C, 22C Elm Grove, Hayling Islandwhat a gorgeous venue! yeah, I've driven past a million times, and never been in, I thought it was probably a bit... um.... naff? I mean hayling isn't exactly Southsea when it comes to fancy. had no idea how well put together the place is. I know there's a lot more to a place than the aesthetic, but be honest, we've all walked into places and been like "eurgh is this a bar or a greasy spoon?" and this place is actually First Date Fancy. warm, welcoming, just the right lighting levels so you can see but you feel at home, spotlessly clean, and absolutely no sticky stinky boozer vibes. Next time I have someone to impress, I'm coming to groves.

139 Elm Grove, Hayling IslandDon't let the dark looking windows put you of going into The Hayling Billy, once through the door you will be pleasantly pleased. They have screens for sporting events a pool table and a lovely outdoor seating area.Not sure if they do food, so can't comment.We will call in again when passing.

All they wanna do is sell beer all night and everybody pay them cash and rather them declaring it to the tax man. good on you M0ge will be back.

18-20 Sea Front, Hayling IslandFriendly staff, family run cafe. Dog friendly, but most importantly delicious fresh food. We had a BLT baguette and a cheese burger and both were freshly cooked to order and very tasty. Plenty of fillings and sauce in both burger and baguette and lovely quality bacon and burger patty. 5 stars will be coming again. We also had the Ice-cream after, which again was great!

Out waitress was sooo lovely and kept our 5 month old entertained whilst we ate in peace. We know this place gets very busy in the evenings and we decided to eat earlier for this reason but it paid off as we got quick service!

Elm Masala
129 Elm Grove, Hayling IslandI visited with my mum Friday as a last minute meal, we were the only people eating in at the time as we arrived just as he opened & the owner kindly honoured a taste card offer & was hospitable, attentive & humble.
He shared with use stories about the nature of business after Covid & some upsetting criticisms he had received which people weaponised against him in the form of reviews rather than giving him the opportunity to address & rectify whatever issues they may have had.
I enjoyed my food, he altered my order especially for me & my only drawback was the korma my mum had was a little watery for my liking, however, she loved it, so taste is all totally subjective.
He is the sort of owner that most certainly deserves honest custom as he cares about his customers & wants them to have a positive experience, unlike a lot of other restaurants I've had extensive experiences with.
Bear in mind, Hayling is mostly a sleepy town, he's a credit to the community desiring them to have a positive experience.

The Missing Squirrel
Mill Rythe Ln, Hayling IslandI can’t lie, my stay in your restaurant was not an enjoyable one, rude, dismissive staff who were disregarding me the whole night made it a shambles, I was questioned on my ethnicity, the fact that my disabled child needed a high chair and was refused one and made to sit on the floor next to us, he is only 3 years old and has cerebral palsy! There was a staff member who was extremely unresponsive and made me feel unimportant the whole time, refusing to change my order when I ordered a vegan wrap and was served chicken, I will be back to chat to your manager at a later date, as this service was criminal and disturbing and as a 37 year old man with no family except my poor, disadvantaged child.

Inn on the Beach
97 Sea Front, Hayling IslandJust popped in for a drink. The place is a bit tired looking but the location and views are stunning. The welcome from the barman was wonderful and we immediately felt at home. He was super accommodating and offered to move chairs to allow us a better view at the impressive window. We didn't eat there but the restaurant set up looked beautiful and plenty of others were tucking into delicious looking food.

This time we visited on a very busy summer's evening. Although it was extremely busy the service was good and the food was great. We would certainly recommend the pizza's and will be returning again soon.

14-16 Sea Front, Hayling IslandWhile on holiday here I had kids size cod and chips and a pea fritter from here .... Absolutely loved it. Kids portion size was plenty for me and the food tasted really fresh. We are on the beach ... Just watch out for those seagulls!!
