1 Bridge Rd, Park Gate, SouthamptonHad another great meal and time here with friends this week. Must be my fifteenth visit over 24 years and the standards have been the same across that time, which is pretty remarkable. Roast pork and duck are highlights amongst the excellent dim sum. Sometimes have to wait a minute longer for staff attention but it's energetic and efficient when it comes.

Locks Heath Centre, 10A Centre Way, Park Gate, SouthamptonWe've been coming to Basmati (and it's previous incarnations for decades) It's hands down the best Indian food in the area. They offer a the usual range of cuisine plus some excellent specials. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Basmati offers dine-in, takeaway and delivery.

Buoys Plaice Restaurant & Takeaway
87 Southampton Rd, Park Gate, SouthamptonI visited buoys plaice tonight as my regular chip shop was closed. I walked in to buoys just as they were about to close, despite that the 2 young girls kindly offered to cook me some fresh fish, they ended up closing 10 minutes late just so they could accommodate me. On top of this they were very polite and friendly and also the food was amazing! It will now be be my regular!

Locks Heath Shopping Centre, 48, Centre Way, SouthamptonVisited recently on a Saturday with a friend and his little boy. I must admit my heart sank when I saw the queue which was almost back to the door, but I will say the three ladies on duty worked really hard to get through the orders whilst still remaining pleasant and professional. Another tick for having Flora as well as butter, which not all branches do.

Premier Inn Fareham hotel
Southampton Rd, Park Gate, SouthamptonGreat for what we needed as we were staying local. Stayed in a premier plus room and it was lovely.
Parking was free on site and a TGI Friday's just across the car park.

Unit 23, Locks Heath Shopping Centre, Locks Heath, Park Gate, SouthamptonFood ready in really quick time. Food delicious. Piping hot. Ordered extras and it was obvious there were extras (other PH’s often are very stingy on their portions). \nStaff really friendly. Would definitely recommend.
