A very popular place with a good mix of people. The only thing which put me off was the sticky tables and one particular member of staff who didn't seem particularly interested in her job.
Went to The Townhouse for a Sunday roast lunch. Absolutely amazing food topped off with a great atmosphere and roaring fire! We had roast beef with all the trimmings including cauliflower cheese and the most delicious chicken that had been water bathed in wine, herbs and garlic and then roasted, with all the trimmings. Popped in on the off chance and caught them on a busy lunchtime. Fish finger sandwich and the brie, bacon and cranberry sandwich were both excellent as was the tea and coffee. The chap serving on his own was doing an amazing job full marks to him. Would definitely visit again and recommend.
