The only downside to put it nicely is the carpark which is operated by euro car parks company. Machine malfunctioned and Never asked me for my Vechile reg, it still went ahead with payment through and I got a ticket which I displayed on the dashboard. Then got a letter saying I had breached their car park rules and was fined, I sent through edivence and proof I paid and they declined my appeal. So the red lion itself.. We always make a point wherever we go, to eat at least once in Spoons. Hungry Horse is near my daughter but doesn't open till 10.30am. Service is always great in this pub, tables clean and no rough crowds in there in the evening. Ticks all the boxes for us especially when taking the whole family out.
