Always love the atmosphere in this shop and have known the staff and shop for years as I was street homeless in the surrounding area for a few years. Been off the street 6 years now but I still remember those times like they were only yesterday.The guys were always so welcoming and helpful and I owe this shop loads. I am a Support Worker. I work with street homeless people. Yesterday in the pouring rain I needed to support a client to charge his mobile phone as he was expecting an important call from a Housing Provider. The staff at Greggs in Northend, Portsmouth were extremely kind, non judgemental and helpful. They allowed two homeless people I was working with to sit inside out of the rain to charge the mobile phone. They did not enforce that they bought food and drink. I did buy them...read full review
I didn't cache their names but the 2 workers should get a well done. Both working hard to keep everything clean in-between serving customers. The lady behind the till was very kind and polite.
