Definitely the best chippie l have ever been to, and that hight standard has been maintained throughout my time in Park Gate, some 13 years. The chips are always excellent, crisp on the outside and well cooked inside and the haddock is a winner. The serving staff are young, efficient and friendly and the experienced "Friers" keep a watchful eye of proceedings whilst continually producing great fish and chips. This review relates to experiences some months ago. We had returned from a birdwatching experience at Warsash and were famished, arriving at this place just as it was about to close. Unable to cook what we wanted, we made do with the leftovers in the hot cabinet which included pea fritter, sausage in batter etc. Having asked about fish and told we were too late, the staff team must have felt sorry for us and said they would cook some if we wanted (despite being prepared to close)....read full review

Best fried fish in the area, I tried them for the first time today and I am already in love. I had the haddock twice, slightly battered!! My go to place from now.
