This is a round the corner pub (I haven't checked if it is really a pub or free house). I only spent an hour there and had a half pint of cider, and chatted bierfly with a few local people; I think they had curiosity of Asian people in this small pub that is escaped in the roads inside the living zone.I like the bar for a few things: intimacy (I imagine this is a social club for locals) . This wonderful place was a regular haunt for me forty odd years ago. I decided to revisit on the occasion of my brother's birthday. All four bros together in a pub that I had history in. I loved the "vibe" of the place. I will definitely be back sooner rather than later. The lady behind the bar was lovely, thanks for the memories Auckland Arms ????

Great little pub with traditional glazed tile tile frontage which was very common on pubs in Portsmouth due to the architect A. E. Cogwell. We popped in for a drink on a Sunday afternoon. Great atmosphere and the bonus of some live music. It's nice to see a traditional pub like this thriving. Highly recommended.Wheelchair accessibility: Reasonable access
