Disappointed. The first time we went here for Sunday lunch it was lovely which is why for our anniversary today we thought it would be the perfect place to go to. The dinner was lukewarm and potatoes had obviously been sitting around . It just wasn’t the standard we had last time and what you should get at a restaurant like this . We had a lovely lunch at The Solent Hotel on Sunday Dec 4th. Father Christmas was absolutely great as were all the staff. All very friendly, couldn’t be more helpful a credit to the restaurant manageress. It was all very festive and very well done. A lovely start to the festive season.

Food was ok but duck was impossible to cut even with a steak knife, when I pointed this out to the waitress who cleared the plates nothing was done about it even though we spent over 500 for our party of six four of whom were staying at the hotel
