Terrible service. Host was extremely rude - shut the door in my face to berate his staff in full view of customers. Just awful.

Last minute booking and so glad we did. The food was excellent and very generous, I had the game faggots which were very filling. Good choice of real ales and reasonable priced wine. Would definitely recommend this pub/restaurant.

Outstanding lunch Great quality and value for money Delicious Felt guilty for not being able to finishing it all but quantity was high Will be back for another one but just a smaller portion

I only gave the Willow Tree 3 stars back in 2021, but went the other day, now that the new owner has taken control, and had a better experience, so am increasing my review to 4 stars.I’d give them 5 stars for the atmosphere, decor and beer…with special recognition for the spacious beer garden. The food is really a 4 star experience still…I had roast beef on this visit and it was pretty gristley. It was good value though and we will probably be back, as the rest of the package is so nice.

Very nice place to eat and drink while sitting by the river in the sunshine. Only 4 stars for service due to feeling a bit ignored upon entry. A "hello, can I help you" leading to being shown to our table and it would have been perfect!

I visited with a mate for a catch-up. What a fantastic pub! Good range of ales and other beers, very nice inside and a terrific beer garden by the river. The staff were all friendly and really on the ball, doing the rounds in the garden to bring further refreshments. We only had sandwiches and fries but they turned up pretty quickly and were good.It was a hot sunny Friday lunchtime and not as busy as this great pub deserves, it's only a ten minute walk from the centre and so much better than many of those in town. We will definitely be back soon!

A beautiful meal, in a beautiful beer garden with the most lovely, welcoming, friendly staff who go out of their way to make your time there enjoyable. A large gluten free selection of food too. I just wish we lived closer!Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free selection

A lovely place to eat. Welcoming both inside and in the garden. The menu was not vast but there was enough choice. It was delicious.

Awful Sunday Lunch ! Beef tough (described as ‘pink’ but so raw and gristly I couldn’t cut it). Fish and chips terrible - batter was like cardboard - not even salt on the table ??? Couldn’t face a dessert….where do these four star reviews come from ?? Most definitely NOT recommended !!!!

Lovely pub with amazing beer garden by the river. We enjoyed the roast beef for lunch and it does not get any better. Beautifully cooked beef, thickly sliced accompanied by Yorkshire pud and lovely veg. All freshly prepared and cooked. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!!

It was nice to have restaurant close be. Couple of mins walk. Nice staff. Discount if staying in travel lodge. Meals ok. Steak really chewy which was disappointing. Sunday roast nice.
