The Fox and Duck is the finest example of a truly wonderful village pub. Not only is the food and drink wonderful (huge portions and great flavours) but the staff are incredibly welcoming. There is also an amazing atmosphere as when we were there it seemed the entire village were in attendance and yet it was still relaxed and wonderfully friendly.
While looking for a new place for dinner, not too far from home we chose the Fox and Duck based on reviews and location. How glad we did! It is an old village pub but from the moment we entered we felt at home. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and the food was excellent with a good mix of specials available. Six of us celebrated the eve of our grand-daughter's departure to tour Europe in her GapYear. The six dishes were so good that five were sharing around. Not me! I hogged my mine. Too good to share. Ivan is an excellent host. The staff all look happy working there.
