Can't believe I've not posted a review of this place....

Beers are extremely well kept and, with eight handpumps, there's always an excellent selection with a couple under 4%, usually one over 5% and a variety in-between to challenge even the most difficult of punters (and that obviously includes me).

Anyone contemplating running a pub would benefit from a few hours with Alan discussing the finer points of cellar management!

And food......

Limited, best to check times first, but Daphnes cooked meats really are the best. Beef or Gammon, cooked on site, generously sliced and well worth a diversion even if you don't particularly like beer!
