69 High St, BuntingfordI’ve been planning to come here for over a year and finally got round to it, and I wasn’t disappointed. Great service on arrival, friendly staff with a welcoming manner. The food was amazing, well cooked, fresh and full of flavour. Three courses eaten and all were superb. The beef Wellington was a masterpiece!!! Head chef/owner came out to say hi and was also very friendly. The restaurant itself is really cosy and romantic. We are 100% coming back!!!

I had special request on the food and that was no problem. 1 of our party was sadly poorly and couldn't make it so they boxed it all up for us to take home and took some money off the bill. I thought that was so lovely of them. So thankyou very much we had a lovely afternoon.

32 High St, BuntingfordThe first time I have been here in about 3 or 4 years due to the absolutely terrible and inedible food I was served back then.(not sure if I could technically call it "food" though)Tonight I thought that I'd wing it, test out a few small dishes and see if there has been any changes...I ordered Salt & Pepper Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken (Hong Kong Style) Chicken Chow Mein, Pork Balls and some Prawn Crackers. Obviously not the most exotic of selections, but I didn't want to risk getting a bad meal again and throwing money down the drain.The S&P chicken was good. Not too much chilli and the perfect amount of salt, garlic and onions. Maybe more similar sized chunks of chicken would've made it better. (8/10)The S&S chicken was nice, but the sauce was extremely vibrant and quite possibly borderline radioactive ? I did like the fresh, raw onion though. Added a nice amount of crunch. (7/10)The chicken chow mein had a nice, smoky vibe to it, and the perfect ratio of noodle, chicken and been sprouts. (8/10)The Pork Balls were all a bit too smooth and uniform in shape, rather than a little bit rugged around the edges. It gave me a "pre-made" vibe, although I highly doubt this was the case.Pork to batter ratio could definitely have been better. (6.5/10)Prawn Crackers were spot on too. A nice amount of crunch, a good portion in a bag too! No massive complaints. (9.5/10)Overall, a reasonably surprising visit back to The Take Away House. It definitely could do with a lick of paint and freshening up, smokers from next door could be a bit more courteous and smoke away from the open door, and people waiting inside could be a bit more aware of their surroundings and move out of the way of the area where you order whilst drunkenly chomping on prawn crackers. But what can you do?The food was good, not great, not amazing. Kings Pizza Kebab Buntingford
57 High St, BuntingfordOrdered 25 pizzas for my Husband's 30th party in local venue.Pizzas arrived on time, added extras given for free, including an extra pizza on the house, dips and sauces.The delivery man literally ran up the road with the bags full of pizzas in hand to deliver on time and so they would be hot.The Pizzas were all hot and guests thoroughly enjoyed.Many asked where the Pizzas had come from as they enjoyed it so much and several said "best pizza I have ever had".Thank you very much for being so reliable and ensuring high quality and taste with each pizza.We could not recommend more highly.Also polite, good communication and helpful.
