I haven’t been here for a while and the first thing I will say is that the food is really good. It has been consistently very good every time any friend or family has come here. So that’s a massive plus. But the service was not good. I appreciate there were new staff members and everyone has to start somewhere but there seemed to be a lack of communication between the serving staff and the kitchen. On entering were pleased to see a roaring open fire. We were shown straight to our table by a waiter who appeared totally uninterested in welcoming us. The food was tasty, hot and well presented. The drinks service was OK but slow, definitely let the experience down. Would return for the food alone.

We went as a group of 6 friends for a get together. The food and service were both excellent. The price was right too. We all enjoyed our meals. We chose a broad selection from the menu and all had 3 courses. All the orders came out correctly and at the right temperature. We were there for 3 hours and never felt rushed. A lovely atmosphere for a get together with friends. We'll done Choppys.
