This is quite THE best pub going! Literally magnificent food... so in detail, my husband had the steak and ale pie. Clearly homemade pastry and filled to capacity with juicy meat, wonderful vegetables (same for Sunday roast) - this chef really believes in cooking vegetables beautifully. I had the cajun chicken, have to admit to having had it before and it was actually stupendous. Although I am an enthusiastic cook myself, I could not have done this better. They fitted us in. Dog friendly good.Food was brilliant, had scotch egg home made, very nice. I had liver and bacon, in lovely Onion gravey. Staff was was first class. First time been there in few years.Will go back with the quality of the food.Parking: Easy to park

The pub itself is quite shabby, a bit run down, didn’t expect much on first impressions but we were seated and served quickly by two friendly waitresses,food was very nice indeed, no complaints.
