Cosy pub with a heart of gold, very charming and professional bartender who helped me choose my poison.I'm from mainland UK, but would gladly return to the IoW just to pay a visit to this gem.
Small but friendly venue with wide range of ales drawn direct from the barrel. They even had Watneys Red barrel on draft, a real throwback to the 70's, but tasted infinitely better than back in the bad old days of fizzy beer

Slightly 'gay', (rainbow flags in evidence), but not in your face so don't be put off.Perfectly sound, traditional bar where you can enjoy a well looked after pint of proper ale from a variety of brewers served by knowledgeable staff. Friendly chat. Range of characters.
