“Do not let the exterior or location put you off or cause you doubt.Booked a table for 4 roast dinners on a Sunday during the August bank holiday weekend. Booked via Facebook messenger, which was answered really quickly.Staff are lovely, friendly, and welcoming. Modern decor inside, though we didn't venture into the garden, I would assume it would be equally modern and comfortable.Food was served quickly and disappeared just as quickly......it was delicious. Nice suprise to have macaroni cheese and cream leeks as a side along with swede mash, brocoli, and carrots to complete our Roast Beef/Slow cooked Gammon.I would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting the area or even the Island. The evening menu looked very nice and different from the usual pub menu....if we only had a few more days we would of been back to sample more.Best of all, it was dog friendly !!!!Kid-friendliness: They had high chairs, colouring pencils, and paper.(we didn't have kids with us, so I can't comment further)”

“Arrived in Gurnard in the afternoon so decided to walk to this pub for something to eat. Did not book a table which was our fault but they found room for us, staff were really lovely and the fish and chips were brilliant. All really good and can highly recommend.”

“If you love real ale then this pub is for you. Ale is served straight from the cask, is well kept & and a good variation of ale types is rotated. Well worth a visit.”

“We wanted food on a monday evening in November and a lot of the restaurants inbcowes where closed. We found this great pub, that did food on the cowes High Street. The burgers are delicious, so is the beer. When the fire place is lit the pub is cosy and warm.Food & drinks: Great place for food that's open most days.”

“We decided to visit Cowes for the day and as it was Sunday we decided lunch would be good. Lots of places where this was on offer. We asked around and were advised to go to Pier View. We are not Sunday roast people but what we were served was amazing. The beef was cooked just to our liking as were the vegetables and the “Yorkshire”. The cauliflower cheese was an unexpected bonus and was equally delicious. No room for pud. The atmosphere was casual and the service was spot on. We can’t recommend this place high enough.”

“I visit the Island regularly throughout the year. Always staying in Cowes. This weekend I invited some friends over from Holland,. We visited various attractions on the island during the daytime and spent our evenings relaxing in Cowes. The vectis is a favourite destination for myself and wife, so naturally headed there for a few drinks. Thursday - Karaoke, Friday - DJ Saturday afternoon- live sport (England Vs Chile rugby) Then later back for a few drinks and dancing. The vectis never disappoints- a safe and friendly environment with a great mix of people, the staff are all fantastic.”
