Good well kept beer, friendly and professional staff, lovely traditional pub setting with outdoor areas, great food - recommend booking your Sunday roast in advance. In fact, I'd book your table and prebook your choice of roast!
I travel often for work and as it tends to come out of my bottom line I have to find somewhere thats got everything I need whilst also being extremely affordable. Fortunately for me, The Lower Bell was both.In most situations the bare minimum is a clean room and a bed and that is exactly what I got. Had an amazing Sunday roast with extended family for a birthday meal. Requested a vegetarian roast option when we arrived and they were able to provide a delicious “not nut roast” to go with the full roast for our 1 veggie. Huge portions of food and lots of choices for puddings. It was a busy afternoon with no many staff on but nothing was too much trouble, friendly and helpful. Would definitely come again thank you
