Initial table service excellent, waitress staff became so inattentive that had to resort to shouting across the bar to ask for clean crockery, it would appear that you're expected to eat your scones on the plate you used for chutney and savouries, with a spoon too big to fit in the Panna cotta dish. The setting was lovely, soft music being piped in the background created a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were very attentive, polite and well presented. The choice of beverages was very varied. We were able to tweak the sandwich selection slightly due to allergies / preference. The savouries of luxury sausage rolls and mini quiche was unexpected and made for a delightful extra. Afternoon tea. Lovely staff, open fire and warm quiet Atmosphere to relax with friends. It’s got potential to be great, but Sadly the afternoon tea was poor. For two, it cost £57, including service charge. The cakes were ok, and plenty of them but not the best. savoury/sandwiches were really sad, and mostly inedible.
