Yesterday we had a wonderful afternoon tea at Phoebe's. We were there to celebrate my mother's birthday and she was a bit overwhelmed by it all. Lesley and Lana made us feel very welcome. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were all super fresh, homemade and very tasty. The chocolate and orange cake was delicious. We thoroughly recommend Phoebe's to anyone!
As a local, Phoebes is my go-to place when I want to have coffee or lunch out with a friend. Everything is fresh and beautifully presented, and I'm not a cake person but they do look rather appealing! The welcome is always very warm and inclusive too and the service is excellent. I'm autistic and struggle with the noise and activity of the larger chains in town so the smaller, calm space of Phoebes really suits me. After reading good reviews, I booked Phoebe’s for an afternoon tea to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. We were very impressed! We really liked that we could choose the finger sandwiches that we wanted (from an extensive list). The food was really lovely - we were provided with a box to take home the cake that we couldn’t manage to eat. We’d thoroughly recommend this place to anyone who loves an afternoon tea!
