“Great little cellar boozer. Reasonably priced quality real ales and a friendly atmosphere with charming staff and pleasant customers. Also the fresh made cheese rolls - add pickle if you like - are a notch or two up on usual pub fare , and great value at £2 . I'm told the ham rolls are even better with "proper" ham.”
“Never stopped for food in this place but been here a few times when out in the town for the evening staff very friendly and great selection of drinks”
“This place is a little gem. It is so under used and I don't understand why. The food and service was great and very reasonably priced.Kid-friendliness: Kids welcomed. High chairs available and the staff are great.”
“Great, as usual! Pleasant atmosphere, decent beer & other drinks, very well managed, live music & DJ sets!”
“Haven't been here since before it was last refurbished and not only has the decor been given an uplift but the service was fantastic too.I mentioned it was my 7 year old sons birthday and without my asking the waitress brought my sons dessert out with a candle in it and sang happy birthday. The foods was thoroughly enjoyed too.”
“Nice comfortable pub. Good menu. We had the senior menu which is reduced portion sizes. £6.99 for two courses. More than enough for lunchtime. + 2 lattes 1 tea £20.75.”
“This place just seems to go downhill. They chose whenever they want to have last orders, they ran out of lager for a whole week (one choice only left). Staff look unhappy and are quite surly, place is generally dirty and very unwelcoming, toilets are always dirty and paper towels overflowing bins. We go in there as we stay at next door premier inn. As that place is just as bad, next visit will definitely be in a different hotel with a different pub aligned to it.”
“New manager, donna, lovely, very welcoming, food was great, great atmosphere, singer was very good too, will definitely visit again.”
