Their knowledge of cocktails is insane. I can give them my preference and they can knock up a gorgeous tasty cocktail. Super friendly atmosphere and never any trouble as I have visited many times on a weekend and also mid week. Bar staff are lovely and as a lone female I feel really comfortable and safe every visit. The ingredients are too quality and I have never been disappointed. Food is outstanding too

Too many years ago to think about, the Kent was my local pub and it was a rough and ready dockside pub. Nowadays it is the polar opposite and it is a smart bar serving craft beers and cocktails. While silently mourning the loss of my old boozer (over 50 years ago) it was nice to see that it has survived as a pub and to be able to enjoy the new version, which is a smart and very welcoming modern bar. Great place for a few drinks. Interesting downstairs basement with pool table. Unfortunately music too loud. Would be 5 stars if you didn't have to yell over the music just to be heard. Background music should be that, background music. I imagine the basement would be fantastic with some background jazz, but maybe that's not their style. Will come again and hope the music isn't as loud.
