What can I say. Fantastic welcome. Amazing service. Food was absolutely delicious (compliments to the chef). We had 3 roast dinners (lamb) and The Rose & Crown burger. This is a beautiful pub in the most beautiful surroundings. We will most definitely come back (and soon).
It's many years since I'd visited this pub, but we'd driven past quite a lot lately, so decided to drop in for lunch. There was a very friendly greeting, and we were offered the choice of outside, or in the restaurant (we opted for the latter).Service was prompt, and the drinks came quickly, but we were surprised how long the food was coming. Really great lunch, very accommodating, myself, wife and 2 young kids. Couldn't fault the service.Was concerned it might be, "a local pub for local people" and we'd feel unwelcome, but it was so far from that! All staff were so welcoming, food was fab and all reasonably priced!Will definitely return!
